In Nokia Lumia 510 Volume buttons are placed on the right side of the mobile phone. They are used to control volume of the phone while listening to the music or during a phone call.
Like power button volume buttons are soldered on the motherboard and can easily be damaged if someone puts too much pressures on them. If that happens there is good chance that prints on which the volume button are soldered on can be damaged alongside the buttons themselves.
I have marked all the jumper ways for both Volume Up and Volume Down buttons in this diagram.
